The exhibition Ceci n’est pas un croquis presents drawings and a book of drawings by the same title – it deals with the formal questioning of media drawings, which Srdić Janežič devotes an autonomous place in contemporary art. Relaxed sketch principle of drawings by the author worked over time is transferred to both the final drawing as well as a book exhibition will be accompanied by thematic performance (run on Sunday, 16 September, at the Main Square in Kranj). Drawings often accompany certain planning of works of sculpture, land art, study sketches for paintings, all the drawings for topics such as performances by the use of their works of art for example: Joseph Beuys, Gunter Brus, Bruce Naumann et al. This exhibition, which could best be described as a cross between Picasso and Monty Python, accompanied by the author’s humorous quirk about the situation of art in contemporary society.

One part of the exhibition of sketches and the artist book Ceci n’est pas un croquis in Kranj was also the street performance with established puppeteer and actor Tina Oman, who lived in Kranj for many years. Performance dwelled upon a question, who gains of art and does it has a notion of being weird. What is really more obscure: art or our society?
